Nowhere

Nowhere

At Nowhere Station, the Animal Express chugged to a lazy halt. While the horses departed with long faces, the giraffes were relieved they could finally stop sticking their necks out. The hens were clucking their way out the door when suddenly, a baby chicken cried out. “Mom, I think I’ve got people pox!”

Panic ensued as the cats jumped out of bags and the kangaroos formed a court at once to find the culprit. The geese went on a wild chase and the hawks eyed everyone from a safe distance. The rats began to race towards the exit, and the frogs leapt to their own conclusions. The worms escaped from their cans and the leopard lost its spots.

Finally, the owl was summoned. He pointed to the elephant in the room, who shrugged indifferently. It was then decided that the truth could come only from the horse’s mouth. But he couldn’t speak because the cat had got his tongue while he was asleep. The cock and bull spread fake stories and the crocodile wiped off tears in the distance. In the end, the goat was falsely charged and prosecuted. The lone wolf quietly removed his sheepskin and slipped away, claiming a boy just cried out his name.
